I just wanted to share with you that our corps had a beautiful experience during our 24/7. It was amazing when we shared in the meeting how God lead so many to pray for the same things. In fact two of the soldiers were praying and using almost the exact same words, “that God would wrap His arms around our corps and that His love would be shown in us”. We saw two families that had not been talking to each other join hands and speak to each other. There is healing in prayer.
One of our teenagers asked about doing a prayer walk about two weeks after we finished our 24/7 and the experience was moving for all of us.
God's presence filled our building and each one of us had a wonderful encounter with God as we went from station to station. We spent 2 hours in prayer, praise, meditation and no one wanted to leave our building.
God is faithful and hears us when we call. Praise His name!!!

I thought I would share with you a testimony of the power of prayer over this past week.
Yesterday, I went to visit my friend (actually some would call him a 'client') who is now serving time in prison in Connecticut . We have had the privilege of always speaking about the Lord and his awesomeness in our conversations because we are both Christians.
Anyway, last Tuesday when I visited, I recognized that he was terribly 'down' and agitated. We talked about it and I kept encouraging him to pray. This week I clearly recognized that he was looking less stressed and depressed and I asked him how he was doing? He said that the previous week had been difficult for him and although he was praying, he didn't know if God was hearing his prayers. But he said that this week, so many things had been happening and blessing him. Just when he was feeling so dehumanized by the system, books came in the mail from a friend showing him that he was important to someone else and, in fact, loved. He said that God was 'working to bring these things about even though I thought He wasn't even listening.' This week has been a good week for him as God answers small prayers lifted in our 24/7 prayer room. Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow.
A Bible is on the way to this young man so that he can continue to seek Gods direction and know God's love for him. ALL Glory to God!!

I just wanted to share with you how much these times I have spent in that [prayer] room have truly expanded my relationship with the Lord. So thank you for bringing this to our area.
I wanted to tell you that I've been in the prayer room a total of 7 hours (Friday to Saturday a.m. and then again on Wednesday evening). I miss it terribly! My spirit is at home there. I was thinking about something that happened to me today and I immediately thought - oh, I have to go to the prayer room about this! Which of course is ridiculous, I can speak to the Almighty anywhere, anytime, but even so...there is a sweet, sweet spirit in that place. What a blessing. What a joy!
For such a time as this and we are the better for it. Be blessed!

I just wanted to extend my gratitude to you and the beautiful body you serve for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful crusade. What an awesome two weeks! My only regret is that I didn't spend more time [in the Prayer Room]. I did however have the opportunity to bring two teen-aged girls from my neighborhood into the Prayer Room. It was an awesome time and though these girls haven't received Christ as their savior yet (I know they will soon) they were introduced to Him for the first time there in the Prayer room. Praise God! It was so awesome! They have seen with their own eyes not only the prayers of the saints but the hope of Glory through Jesus Christ.

I was totally overwhelmed, in a positive sense, when I entered the Prayer Room. I felt compelled to stop at each prayer station and to offer intercessions for those names there and I also added some. I came to a place of the Spirit that I felt deeply about and I was able to offer my "baggage" to the Lord and to start moving toward a new place of forgiveness and healing.
The first time I went into the prayer room I had a “meeting" with God. It was all about me and Him. I must go back now that I am refreshed to begin to pray for others!
Landlord who participated in the Prayer Room said that this was the first time all rent has been paid on time!
Young boy put his teacher's name on the healing table. Then after a couple of days put his teachers name on the praise board because she was healed.
I cannot put into words what is happening in the prayer room! More than words can express!
Corps Feeding Program Ministry answered prayer:
One friend needed housing, and within the two weeks of prayer found affordable housing.
A person's friend had a baby that the doctors were concerned about. The concern was about normal growth and birth of this child. The baby was in an incubator at birth. When the 2 weeks of prayer ended the baby was growing normally and no sign of abnormalities.
Many of the friends of ours at the Feeding Program put the names of loved one that needed healing. Many of our friends say their loved ones are feeling better.
Prayer cloths that had been in the prayer room over the two weeks of prayer were mailed with a letter, or taken to folks that were sick explaining that the cloths had been prayed over. It was suggested that the cloths be placed on the part of the body that needed healing and the individual agree with all the prayers offered for their healing. God is ready to do a major healing!
Generational issued worked through in my prayer time!

The Western Pennsylvania Division had 100% participation in 24-7. Officers, soldiers, friends, children, teens, Home League members and many others from every Corps took a shift in one of the many prayer rooms across the division.
Here are just a few of the many results of our participation:
Every Friday since March, the Corps Officers of the Braddock, PA Corps , along with staff and volunteers, have been fasting and praying. Though they have had some spiritual opposition, they have seen many victories. During the spring and summer months, they prayer-walked around the community, giving special focus to some of the worst problem areas of Braddock. Since then, some of the nuisance bars have been closed down and many of the crack houses have been torn down. Part of the vision and mission statement of the Corps is to restore hope to the community, and through this weekly prayer they are seeing this begin to take place. God is doing great things in the Corps and in the community as a result of the faithful prayers of these prayer warriors.
The Ridgway, PA Corps reports many answers to prayer. They have experienced spiritual growth in the Corps members and many new children and several new families have begun attending the Corps. Great things are happening and they are growing quickly.
The Uniontown, PA Corps used a prayer maze with a guided CD that directs everyone individually through the maze.
The Officers and soldiers of the Corry, PA Corps have been praying for the Lord to increase their congregation and recently a new family began attending the Corps.
The Altoona ARC joined with the Altoona, PA Corps to cover a week of 24-7 Prayer. The Corps Officers, soldiers and beneficiaries from the center participated. The children spent some time in the prayer room, which was at the ARC, as did the Home League.
The Allegheny Valley, PA Corps is signed up for the week of May 18. Having just dedicated a brand new building, they have designated a room for prayer. The corps officers and soldiers are excited about the opportunity of going out into a new neighborhood and reaching people with the gospel message. They know that participating in 24-7 prayer will be an important part of their ministry and that prayer will under gird all that they do.
A Corps Officer testified: The night before my early morning shift in the prayer room, I was so worn out - unable to sleep and not looking forward to my time in the prayer room. I prayed about it before I went to bed and asked the Lord to get me out of bed with an attitude to worship and He did. I am amazed at how easy it is to listen to the Lord in an environment like that.
People who were wondering how they could possibly pray for a whole hour, were amazed at how quickly the time went. They found the prayer rooms peaceful and conducive to communicating with God. Many shared that they could really feel the presence of the Lord in a powerful way.
A permanent Prayer Room has been created at divisional headquarters and is open for employees and officers to spend time in prayer throughout the day. Many have gone there to enjoy some quiet time with God and to post prayer requests.
