The Prayer Room has continued at the overwhelming request of the staff.

It has moved from the original location to the C.C.O. The name used to stand for Chief Counselor Office, but now stands for Christ's Center for Operations.

The prayer room was absolutely TOP NOTCH!!! It had to be moved out of the rec hall, but there is an all summer prayer room - the little (what used to be the program office) building right next to Sebago Hall. It's a mini-version of what was in the rec hall. I went out there for two hours and couldn't leave. The Spirit was with me. I have been meaning to write and tell you about that for a month now!

What a beautiful spirit is in the prayer room. Thank God I work in a place that allows me a few minutes to spend in there. I turn 30 this weekend so I am praying that God will reveal Himself to me in a new way as I enter this new chapter of my life.

Dear Major,

We started the 24/7 prayer on July 10 together with our vacation bible school. The theme of our vacation Bible School this year was Nations Cup.

We showed the video you sent us to the whole church encouraging the members to pray.

During this time of prayer, we chose some goals to pray such as the corps, Salvation of the families, for our nation, Brazil and also USA which accepted us some people recognized the importance of prayer, learned how to have a devotion with God daily Most all to increase their spiritual life. The biggest victory of these last days was to see kids praying and praising God with all their hearts.

May God continue vision that God gave you.

We had a very good response from the staff, and believe that all 48 hours were covered by at least one staff member, in many cases two or more. Some staff who have never been in a prayer room before really enjoyed the various prayer stations and have asked us to create a prayer room for them next year as well. CONNRI's prayer room will be opened during staff hours through to the end of Labor Day Meetings. It was a time of spiritual refreshment for all.

We began our 24/7 Prayer Room on July 14th and it is still being used as an integral part of our program! We are so grateful to Mhairi for her assistance in the initial set-up of the prayer room and her creative vision. I have asked a few staff to reflect on their experience and also attached pictures documenting the outpouring of prayer in art and prose. With all the business of camp going on, this has been a significant resource in the success of the summer and we thank you and your department for being an aid and inspiration in this movement.

We had our 24 hour prayer day and what an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We turned the Family Visitation Room just off the lobby into the prayer room and it indeed became "holy ground." In order to have enough slots for everyone we went to 1/2 hour prayer times and still people were wanting to join in to pray with those in the room.

It was amazing to see how everyone contributed to the room with pictures and drawings, music and decorations, the serenity felt just walking into the room was awesome. It was like stepping into another world; for a few moments in time you were alone with God and apart from all the worries and cares of this world. What a glorious experience. The prayer book used in the prayer room is now in the back of the chapel and included each Sunday during our Chapel services as we bring it to the Holiness table during our prayer time at the beginning of our services lifting up the prayers written in the book during the week.

The day of prayer has had a profound effect on many of our residents but we have also seen a renewed attack of the evil one against us. This only tells us that we are doing the right thing. Please lift us up in prayer. Our men and women are wonderful miracles of God and we see Him working in their lives every day.
